Dominican Republic recovers its beaches after the passage of Laura
Brigades from the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) began a comprehensive cleaning operation on beaches and spas on Monday, after the passage of storm Laura, which hit the country.
From eight in the morning on Monday, hundreds of MITUR employees appeared at different beaches and immediately began the cleaning operation.
After the passage of the storm, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, instructed that operations be carried out to ensure the cleanliness of beaches and spas.
Throughout the morning, brigades of the Ministry of Tourism could be observed in different places in Samaná, such as Ballenas and Portillo beaches, with the aim of preparing these spaces for the enjoyment of their users.
Susan Miller, a native of Kansas, United States, owner of two commercial establishments in Samaná, expressed her satisfaction with the day.
She highlighted the security and cleanliness conditions permanently maintained by the authorities of the Ministry of Tourism in that destination.
Similar operations were carried out simultaneously in Barahona, Jarabacoa, Azua, Luperón, Ocoa, Bahoruco, Río San Juan, La Romana, Bávaro, among other provinces.
The operations were supervised by the director of the Executive Committee of Infrastructures of Tourist Zones (CEIZTUR), Sixto Brea.
