Aerodom: construction of new AILA terminal to begin in 2025

As part of the commitments assumed in the renewed and reformed concession contract, VINCI Airports and Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), the entities reported the progress in the improvements being executed in the passenger terminal of the International Airport of the Americas, José Francisco Peña Gómez (AILA).

With an investment of more than thirty million dollars, Aerodom, with the sponsorship of its shareholder VINCI Airports and the support of the Airport Commission and the Airport Department, is carrying out projects that include the remodeling of the Departures and Arrivals area, renovation of the roofs, facades, lighting, information and air conditioning systems, as well as the expansion and renovation of the parking lot so that this important terminal reflects a more modern and functional aspect.

The parking lot is currently being expanded and remodeled, with 400 additional spaces for Long Duration. The project also includes renovating the road surface, improving vehicle distribution and flow, and renovating the area’s landscaping.
