Marriott: construction of luxury hotels in Macau to start in June
The luxurious hotels that the Marriott chain will operate within the ambitious Yanuna project, which will be built in Macao north of Punta Cana, generate great expectations in the Dominican tourism sector. The bet is the result of the alliance with the Pioneer Investment Fund Manager.
The projection is that the construction of the hotels that will operate with The Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection brands will begin next June, as revealed by the executive vice president of Pioneer, Yamil Isaías.
The first stage of the hotel megaproject is expected to be completed in about 24 months, the initiative representing another boost from investment funds to Dominican tourism.
Yanuna will be located next to the Uvero Alto highway, about 34 km northwest (35 minutes by car) of the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), which is served by direct flights from more than 30 countries, making the destination be extremely accessible to numerous demand-generating markets.
