Metro Tourist Services confirms normal operations in Puerto Plata
Puerto Plata.- After the facilities of Metro Servicios Turísticos in Puerto Plata were seized due to non-compliance with a 2021 ruling that mandated the payment of labor benefits and other rights to more than a dozen former employees, the company issued a statement asserting that operations are continuing as usual.
In a message shared on social media, Metro Buses reassured passengers, stating: “We would like to inform all our passengers that the situation that occurred yesterday at our Puerto Plata terminal has been resolved. We appreciate your understanding during this time and look forward to serving you during regular business hours. Thank you for trusting Metro Buses. We wish you a happy trip!”
Lawyer Whascar Marmolejos reported that the debt exceeded 69 million pesos, leading authorities to seize four buses and a minibus.
