MITUR delivers 100,000 health security support kits to be distributed in tourist centers

SANTO DOMINGO.- As part of the 2021 Easter Operation, the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) ordered the delivery of some 100,000 health security support kits to all directors and managers of the regional offices of the institution to be distributed in all tourist destinations and tolls in the country.

The kits delivered to the Mitur regional directors include the document “Procedures, files and annexes”, as a support element for the day, and which contains Resolution 007/2021 recently issued by the Mitur, establishing extraordinary provisions on the use of spas , beaches, bars, hotels and other tourist establishments at Easter.

The delivery was made by the Vice Minister of Destinations Management of Mitur, Patricia Mejía, who also reported that signs will be placed on the different beaches motivating bathers and users to contribute to the cleaning after they leave these spaces, from the Holy Thursday until Easter Sunday, thus contributing to cleanliness and the environment.

Mejía reported that from the folder delivered, the regional managers will have the zoning for the inspections to be carried out in tourist areas with the support of the Specialized Tourist Security Corps (CESTUR), the Dominican Army, the National Police and the Ministry of Defense.

The kits contain masks, gel and clean hands, in addition, promotional caps and t-shirts will be distributed to vacationers who travel to beaches, spas, roads and mountains during the holiday, inviting family protection and against the Covid virus- 19.

On one of the promotional T-Shirts to be delivered, the message “Take care of ourselves for you, for me, for my family at Easter” reads.

In a ceremony held at the Mitur headquarters, they received the materials from the deputy minister Mejía, the regional directors Henry Mejía, from the North Regional Directorate, La Vega and Jarabacoa; Esmil Espinal, regional deputy director of Santiago; José Sánchez, regional director for the office of Monsignor Nouel, Hermanas Mirabal and Sánchez Ramírez.

Also Osanna Durán, North Regional Director of Constanza; Janna Morales, East Regional Deputy Director, Bayahibe and Yafreisy Peguero office for the Mitur OPT in San Pedro de Macorís.
