Pink Golf Tour celebrates Women’s Golf Day in the DR for the third consecutive year

SANTO DOMINGO.- On a morning filled with feminine enthusiasm and joy, Dominican Republic received for the third consecutive year the event that thanks to the organization of the Pink Golf TourDR circuit, joins the international character movement that annually celebrates World Women’s Golf Day, Women’s Golf Day, where last year more than 29,100 players worldwide joined the game system, and showed it through the hashtag #WomensGolfDay.

The women-only golf event that takes place simultaneously in different destinations, this year motivated more than 40 countries and 700 locations in the world to celebrate an activity that seeks to generate a global impact on women’s golf, inspire action in this sport and celebrate young women and women who play golf around the world.

Once again the country celebrated the golfing event in two locations, the Cayacoa golf course, which was attended by more than 40 women, including beginners who had contact with the sport for the first time and those who received clinics and instructions from of the outstanding Dominican player Pedro Peña. And a second location in the city of Santiago, where more than 65 female golfers were integrated, under the organization of the Spanish Center and with the endorsement of the PinkGolf Tour DR.

As part of the agenda, the already experienced female players had plenty to choose from, since from observers in the clinics of the beginners, a LongDrive competition and a Par’s 3 tournament were the options enjoyed by the golf girls. Leaving the following golfers as winners of the different competitions:

Judith Díaz in the first place, followed by Miladis Taveras in the second.

Stefanny Pou managed to stay with the first position, while Haydee Valdez occupies the second position

The first place was achieved by the team consisting of Judith Ann and Judith Díaz, while Gisela Denton and Rosanna García occupied the second.

It is the third time that the country participates in this event joining a movement of this magnitude related to women’s golf as the “WOMENS GOLF DAY”, an achievement of the PinkGolf Tour DR circuit that interested in the event made the arrangements with the organization and complying with the standards established by the organizers, achieving affiliation so that the island joins the group of countries that participate annually, once again with two locations.
