Grupo Puntacana’s Directors named Rainieri Kuret as President & CEO

Punta Cana, La Altagracia, RD, July 5, 2021.- Grupo Puntacana, the pioneer company in sustainable tourism in the Dominican Republic for more than 50 years, announced that its board of directors has elected Mr. Frank Elías Rainieri Kuret as President and CEO of the company, initiating a new stage that encompasses the expansion, diversification and consolidation strategies of all the services offered by the organization.

Frank Elías Rainieri has developed a successful career within and outside Grupo Puntacana with different executive and leadership functions, demonstrating over the years avant-garde vision, business experience and current trends.

They also informed that its founder, Mr. Frank Rafael Rainieri Marranzini, will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board and president of the Fundación Grupo Puntacana.

The brand, made up of more than 12 companies, informed that Rainieri Kuret, also director of the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), will continue to lead together with the graduates Paola Rainieri Kuret, Chief Marketing, PR & Communications Officer (CMO), and Francesca Rainieri Kuret, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Grupo Puntacana.

The Rainieri brothers have been an integral part of the company’s operational area for more than two decades, and between the three of them they have 60 years of experience and a lifetime in Punta Cana. During their years working for Grupo Puntacana, they have amply demonstrated their ability, love and loyalty to the company, which they consider a life project.

He is a graduate of Roger Williams University in Rhode Island where he received a BA in Economics and Finance, and then a Masters in Finance from Boston University.

In 2003, he joined Grupo Puntacana and structured the Real Estate Sales Division, today this division under his charge represents 10% of Grupo Puntacana’s income.

In 2013, he began his role as Vice President of Business, in turn he assumed the Punta Cana International Airport, with a sustained growth in non-aeronautical sales, from 12% to 27% and positioning of the Airport in the Insular Caribbean as the number 1, using the ASQ tool as a positioning measure.

He is a born entrepreneur and in the Real Estate sector he presides over Hoyo Claro Developing Group Inc. he has developed affordable homes, highlighting the Ciudad La Palma project, which today has a community of more than 880 homes and continues to grow.

Also, he chairs the Ciudad Cayena project, a low-cost housing complex, currently with 972 apartments, the latter being the model used to create our Caracolí project.

Within the communication sector, he is part of the Board of Directors of Editora Bávaro S.A., a company dedicated to the marketing, distribution and sales of print media.

In the restaurant sector, he is vice president of the Board of Directors of the fast food franchise Wendy’s, Pizza Hut and Chili’s, represented in the country by the company Raya Food Dominicana, S.A.

He is the founder of the first Brewery in the area founded in 2016, Canita currently has an annual growth of 40%.

He has been recognized by the Youth Parliament as “Young Entrepreneur” of the year 2007, within the Youth Merit Awards, under the motto “Effort, Progress, Talent and Overcoming”.

In 2009, he was recognized for creating the important campaign for education: “Educate yourself. Join us. Contribute ”, as coordinator of the Education Commission.

He chaired the Board of Directors of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) from 2012-2013. Roger Williams University awarded him an honorary Doctorate Honoris Causa in May 2018.

He was recognized in October 2019 as “Entrepreneur of the Year”; by the Real Estate Entrepreneurs Club.
