One out of every eight jobs comes from the tourism sector In the Dominican Republic
The tourism industry is a main actor in the GDP of the Caribbean country and is consolidated as an engine of socioeconomic development
According to the study Dominican Tourism: A Decade of Contributions 2009-2019 presented today by Asonahores and Banco Popular, one in eight jobs come from the tourism sector.
Tourism Minister David Collado stated: “The tourism industry has had its ups and downs, but we have always come out ahead, today we are recovering from a global crisis, but we do it with our heads held high, my people, empowering every corner from the country”.
“For ten years direct foreign investment has contributed to the development of our nation, expanding a sea of opportunities for Dominicans, we will continue to drive for development, the development of the Dominican Republic.”
