According to the Dominican President, tourism has fully recovered
The Head of State made a speech full of optimism when meeting in Punta Cana with general managers of hotel chains.
President Luis Abinader said this Sunday that as tourism has recovered, the Dominican economy has fully recovered.
“Without recovering tourism, the Dominican economy does not recover,” said the president.
President Abinader predicted that by the end of the year the country will be more than 4% positive in general regarding the economy in relation to the pre-COVID era.
“We are being a reference in the world in terms of the recovery of the economy, just as we have been a reference in terms of the recovery of COVID-19. The key to all this, gentlemen, is that we work together,” said the president.
These statements were offered by the head of state when meeting in Punta Cana with general managers of hotel chains.
For his part, Tourism Minister David Collado indicated that currently things are going well in the public administration and that this is due to the fact that there is a new generation that acts differently.
During the meeting, some hotel managers said that the recovery in tourism is going well and thanked President Abinader for having the vision and giving the sector the importance it deserves at this time.
In the same way, they said they are grateful for the measures that have been taken, since they understand that for the first time they have felt protected and tourism problems have been solved diligently and efficiently.
