Senator Hotels & Resorts celebrates the reopening of Senator Puerto Plata
The reopening ceremony of Senator Puerto Plata Spa Resort, belonging to the Senator Hotels & Resorts chain, took place in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic).
It was a very exciting event for the company, as the resort had not yet opened its doors since it closed due to the pandemic in March 2020. In addition to celebrating the reopening, the spectacular new Senzia Spa & Wellness wellness center that the resort will now have. This space of more than 1500 m2 houses a water circuit, jacuzzis, sauna, a beauty salon and cabins for individual or couples massage therapies.
The event, which took place in the resort’s own facilities, was personally organized by the Rossell family, which owns the chain, led by José María Rossell Recasens. Prominent members of the Dominican government attended, including the President, Luis Abinader, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza.
Thus, the excellent relationship that exists between the government of the Dominican Republic and the chain, firmly committed to making Puerto Plata a top-level tourist destination, is evidenced. In fact, since the arrival of Senator Hotels & Resorts on the island, international markets such as Poland, Russia, Germany, the United States and Canada have opened. Although, the chain also wants to promote local tourism, which is also extremely important.
