AMR Collection signs agreement in favor of education in the hotel industry
AMR Collection and the APEC Centers for Distance Education (CENAPEC) signed a collaboration agreement in favor of distance education for the “ZERO” program for employees of their hotel centers without a high school diploma.
The rubric, which took place at Dreams Dominicus La Romana, aims in a first phase to instruct 250 employees in 6 of the 11 AMR Collection hotels in the Dominican Republic.
Sonia Villanueva de Brower, president of CENAPEC, thanked AMR Colection for the great step in favor of education by marking a milestone in the country’s hotel industry.
On her side, Daniel Hernández, regional vice president of operations for AMR Collection, in the DR, highlighted that the hotel chain’s greatest asset is its people.
“The hospitality of the Dominican, among other benefits, makes it unique and strengthening the education of employees strengthens the hotel industry, thus making it more competitive as a country/region (it is the idea), for which I thank CENAPEC, its president Sonia Villanueva and Enrique De Marchena for always advocating in favor of education”, he emphasized.
The event was attended by Amando Pozo, general manager of Dreams Dominicus La Romana; Yuderkys Del Rosario, Human Resources manager of Dreams Dominicus La Romana together with other Human Resources managers of the hotels participating in the program; Elsa Ramirez Toca, Marketing and Communications Manager of AMR Collection in the country, among others.
