Lopesan Hotel Group reinforced its commercial strategy at ITB Berlin

Lopesan Hotel Group participated in the ITB Berlin 2023 with the ambitious objective of strengthening the commercial strategy it maintains with the main players in the tourism industry and, thus, consolidate Germany as the most important outbound market for the company.

Despite the many socio-economic factors that have slowed down the arrival of German tourists to the destinations where the Lopesan Group is present, in 2022 German travelers accounted for around 35% of the total volume of guests staying at the company’s hotels.

To continue the projections, the hotel group is holding around 90 meetings at the aforementioned tourism fair.

The meetings will analyze the trend changes in the sector, which mainly affect the modification of purchasing habits, reducing the time that separates the moment of making the reservation to the enjoyment of it, and the important incidence of the virtualization of the processes associated with the costumer journey, highlighted the commercial director of Lopesan Hotel Group, Juan Francisco Santana.

“Digital channels and online suppliers are increasingly relevant in the sector, but we value the key role played by the tour operator and the exceptional work it does, so one of the goals we have set for this ITB in Berlin is to strengthen existing commercial links and design new business plans to increase the number of planes arriving at the destinations where the company is present,” he said.

For his part, the general manager of the Hotel Division of the Lopesan Group, José Alba, emphasized the special characteristics that always mark the ITB Berlin, since “it allows us to strengthen the particular bond with our partners of the IFA brand and at the same time, promote the company’s assets in Germany and Austria at the leading fair of the world tourism industry”.

He stated that digitalization, sustainable development and international expansion mark the roadmap set by Lopesan Hotel Management for the coming years, especially in the destinations of the Dominican Republic and Thailand, as they are set to become prominent players for the company, highlighting the recent incorporation of the Eden Beach Resort & Spa, to Lopesan Collection Hotel and the planning of the second phase of the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino.

The business group recalled that despite the many socio-economic factors that have slowed down the arrival of German tourists to the destinations where the Lopesan Group is present, in 2022 German travelers accounted for around 35% of the total volume of guests staying at the company’s hotels.
