Copa claims to lead tourism flow from South and Central America to Punta Cana

Copa Holdings CEO Pedro Heilbron reported that the airline’s flights to Punta Cana this 2023 are up more than 40% in the number of seats than in 2019 and more than 25% of seats in Santo Domingo over 2019.

He stated that Copa’s plan in the country is to continue growing in flight frequency and schedules. “The growth of flights is due to a greater number of seats because we are operating aircraft with more capacity,” he said.

With its subsidiary Wingo and Copa Airlines Colombia, the company, which has its hub at Panama’s Tocumen airport, is focused on continuing to expand its flights in the DR, in advance of resuming operations to Santiago de los Caballeros.
