Collado stressed the importance of the country’s presence at the Paris fair and the significance of Dominican relations with the French tourism industry.
The French fair is one of the four most important in Europe and the world, along with Berlin, London and Madrid. Thousands of companies, travel agents, tour operators and media from the host country, Europe and the main destinations meet in Paris.
Last year more than 217,000 tourists arrived from France; in the period January-August 2023 we received 118,489 French tourists. The market has been affected mainly by the reduction in the supply of seats. In 2022 Colombia occupied the third place (more than 283 thousand tourists) displacing France to the fourth (more than 217 thousand).
