Spirit Airlines Just Added New Daily Nonstop Flights to Aruba
Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines just launched new daily nonstop service to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba.
Spirit is now operating daily flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport.
That is an increase from what had ben four weekly flights between Fort Lauderdale and Aruba.
Spirit is operating the service on Airbus A321 aircraft with capacity for 228 passengers.
The expansion is expected to generate as many as 1,140 additional weekly seats to Aruba from Fort Lauderdale, significantly enhancing connectivity between Florida and Aruba.
The Aruba-Fort Lauderdale flights depart on 3:30 PM on weekdays and 5:15 PM on weekends.
It’s another boost for an island that has been seeing sustained tourism growth since the pandemic, in large part to what local tourism officials dub “The Aruba Effect.”
