Sanctuary Cap Cana celebrates its grand reopening after a $ 45 million renovation
The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental. To an English person, it will seem like simplified English, as a skeptical Cambridge friend of mine told me what Occidental is. Their separate existence is a myth. For science, music, sport, etc, Europe uses the same vocabulary. The languages only differ in their grammar, their pronunciation and their most common words. Everyone realizes why a new common language would be desirable: one could refuse to pay expensive translators.
Sanctuary Cap Cana hosted an intimate ceremony attended by officials and leaders of the tourism industry to celebrate the recent renovation and reopening of this property operated by Playa Hotels & Resorts (NASDAQ “PLYA”) , located in the most exclusive area of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The event was attended by His Excellency the President of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Danilo Medina Sánchez; Mr. Francisco Martínez, owner of Sanctuary Cap Cana; Mr. Bruce Wardinski, President of Playa Hotels & Resorts, as well as Mr. Abraham Hazoury, Mr. Ricardo Hazoury and Mr. Fernando Hazoury of the Cap Cana Board. Also attending were dignitaries, government representatives and leaders of the tourism industry.
“When we started planning the expansion of Sanctuary Cap Cana, we knew that we had a very short time, however, I am proud to say that we were able to reopen the doors of this colonial and even modern property in time, finishing its renovation in tan only four months, “said Mr. Francisco Martínez. “I want to thank everyone involved in the project, especially the Hazoury family, for their continued support for investors in Cap Cana. Collaborations like this play a fundamental role in the constant growth of tourism in the region. “
Playa, considered a leader in the all-inclusive market, began operating Sanctuary Cap Cana on October 1, 2017. With its portfolio that includes four other resorts in the region, Playa contributed to the project offering guidance and guidelines. The most notable improvements include the incorporation of two new buildings with 140 additional suites that elevate the resort’s total inventory to 325 rooms; a new lobby and redesign of the 1,800-square-foot Sanctuary Spa and fitness center.
“It is an honor to be partners with an experienced and esteemed European business leader such as Mr. Martinez,” said Mr. Bruce Wardinski, president and CEO of Playa Hotels & Resorts. “We feel privileged to be able to combine the iconic resort of Mr. Martinez, impeccably remodeled with its vision of six-star luxury and the legendary Service from the Heart of Playa, to enthuse and delight a greater number of guests, after the expansion and renovation of $ 45 million, completed at the end of last year. Together, we have the power to exceed the expectations of the most discerning guests, “continued Mr. Wardinski.
