RCD closes a year of expansion and prepares for a great 2020
Throughout 2019 the international hotel chain, with presence in Mexico, the United States and the Dominican Republic, opted for the hotel expansion of its brands, opening hotels in new destinations. The three most important milestones of the year were the openings of Hard Rock Hotel and Nobu in Los Cabos (Baja California, Mexico), and the construction of the Nobu Chicago that will soon begin operations.
With a big party and the presence of international artists such as Bret Michaels and Enrique Iglesias, in October RCD dressed up (although maintaining its characteristic rock style) to inaugurate the facilities of the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, in Cabo San Lucas. The new and exclusive all-inclusive resort has 639 rooms with ocean view and individual outdoor hot tub. It also has 5 swimming pools, Rock Spa, an elegant beauty salon and a Boutique. This brand of RCD is characterized by prioritizing music and fun, so the entertainment area consists of 5 bars in the pool and grill, 3 lounge – Sun Bar, Moon Lounge and Club Heaven, and almost 6 thousand square meters of Event space All this, framed in a natural paradise that combines desert and beach with the possibility of seeing closely the marine fauna of the place.
A month later it was the turn of the opening of the new Nobu. This brand is already a magnet for celebrities in their other locations, but this new hotel in Baja California, so close to Hollywood is ideal for movie stars to relax in front of the sea.
Nobu is a proposal created by Robert de Niro, together with chef, Nobu Matsuhisa and Hollywood producer, Meir Teper. This is the first hotel of this brand in Mexico, more precisely in the municipality of Los Cabos. It retains all the luxury and exclusivity of the brand in its 200 majestic rooms and suites, overlooking the desert. It maintains the contemporary Japanese minimalist aesthetic combined in perfect balance with the local Mexican identity, and provides, at the same time, comfort and grandeur in its environments created by the architects Mónica Cuervo and Mark Yoshizaki of WATG and the designer Severine Tatangelo of Studio PCH. It has 4 swimming pools, private cabins, an Esencia Wellness spa, Malibu Farm and the exclusive Nobu restaurant, surrounded by the world famous Diamond, with golf courses designed by Tiger Woods and Davis Love III.
By 2020, RCD also prepares the opening of Nobu Hotel Chicago, an authentic urban oasis located in the West Loop neighborhood, one of the fastest growing in Chicago and home to the famous “Restaurant Row” street. This hotel was created theatrically thanks to the architecture of the building, which mixes elements of ancient Japanese art with modern functional art. It has 115 elegant rooms and suites, an indoor pool, corporate spaces and a great view of Chicago from the Rooftop lounge.
“RCD is committed to adding new destinations and hotels in its brands, to continue providing our guests with experiences that meet the needs of market diversity, under the concept of the European Plan and also of all inclusive. We have more than 30 years of experience in the hotel sector, we were pioneers in introducing the all-inclusive concept in Mexico and we established a standard of excellence and exclusivity. We continue to innovate and bet on expanding, ”said Leonel Reyes, director of Sales for Latin America at RCD.
