Asonahores supports recovery plan presented by the Dominican government
The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) welcomed the Plan for the Responsible Recovery of Tourism, presented this Tuesday by the Government at the National Palace.
Paola Rainieri, president of Asonahores, stated that the measures supported by the plan are innovative and unique in the world. She stated that the measure of granting insurance to the traveler is innovative that does not exist in other parts of the world and that they provide health guarantees to the visitor.
Likewise, it also favors the hospital network that the Government has set up to provide security for visitors.
Although it is a good work plan, the businesswoman is aware that recovery will not come overnight. It projects that, by September or October, the flow of passengers will begin to dynamize.
“But the important thing is that the protocol is written, made official and translated so that the airlines convey the confidence that coming to the Dominican Republic is safe,” Rainieri said after the presentation of the recovery plan for the sector, at the Palacio National.
The representative of Asonahores together with David Collado, Minister of Tourism, will visit the tourist centers to meet the needs.
“The losses have been unquantifiable, but I can tell you that we are all prepared to work hand in hand and support the State in the recovery of the sector,” Rainieri added.
