Banreservas is integrated, FITUR inauguration, signing important investment agreements
Madrid, Spain.- The Reserve Bank joined the inauguration of the FITUR 2021 International Tourism Fair this Wednesday, with the participation of a business delegation chaired by its general administrator, Samuel Pereyra, who immediately began to conclude agreements and agreements with executives of important investment groups in various areas of tourism.
In the opening ceremony, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, highlighted that both the Reserve Bank and the Popular Bank have played a key role in the recovery of tourism, while stating that the participation of the Dominican delegation in this important fair It represents the “starting flag” for the recovery of tourism in the Dominican Republic after the relapse it had due to the pandemic.
Prior to the opening ceremony, Pereyra made a tour of the fairgrounds accompanied by the delegation of business executives from the Bank and its main subsidiaries that accompany him in this conclave that brings together tour operators, hoteliers, investors and international managers from the various areas that they move the tourist industry.
The agenda of the general administrator of Banreservas at the opening of FITUR included private meetings with representatives of hotel groups, which have investments in different countries, especially in Latin America.
The first interview of the day was with Alejandro Reynal and Javier Coll, CEO and Executive VP of Aple Leisure, respectively. This American company is a leader in the leisure and hospitality travel segment and includes various brands, which add some 20,000 rooms in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
Later Pereyra held another business meeting with Encarna Piñero and José María Mayans, from Grupo Piñero, a Spanish hotel company that covers the entire value chain of the tourism industry and has a strong investment in the Dominican Republic.
The participation of Banreservas in this 41st edition of Fitur has the purpose of contributing to attracting investments that require financing for the development of tourism projects and in other areas, that contribute to boosting the country’s economy.
