Adompretur applauds women’s impact on Dominican tourism
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) celebrates International Women’s Day on March 8th by recognizing twelve exceptional Dominican women.
President Yenny Polanco Lovera commended their remarkable careers, both nationally and internationally, and their significant contributions to the Dominican tourism sector across various fields.
The list is headed by Mónika Infante Henríquez, executive director of Dominican Airports 21st Century (Aerodom); Jacqueline Mora, Technical Vice Minister of Tourism; Fabeth Martínez, executive director of the Santo Domingo Hotels Association (AHSD) and the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster (CTSD); Amelia Reyes Mora, president of AF Comunicación Estratégica and vice president of the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS); Cesarina Beauchamp, Commercial Director of Sky High Dominicana; Haydée Kuret, founder of the Puntacana Group.
Adompretur also recognizes Sabrina Brugal, president and executive producer of the program “Sabrina en Fin de Semana,” which has had 34 years of uninterrupted broadcast; Raysa Féliz, Manager of Institutional Relations and Communication at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa, and Casino; Magaly Toribio, Marketing Advisor, who has implemented successful tourism promotion strategies for the Dominican destination in international markets; Maribel Pichardo, director of the Serranía Hotel Technical School in Jarabacoa; Mileyka Brugal, Director of Marketing & Sales at Hotel Blue JackTar and president of the Board of Directors of the Puerto Plata Chamber of Commerce; and Ana García-Sotoca Pascual, Executive Director at the La Romana – Bayahíbe Hotels Association.
“For the 2023-2025 board, it is a great honor to present on our platforms @adompretur/www.adompreutur.com this special selection of women who, day by day, from their different spaces, contribute to the development and dynamism of the main industry in the Dominican Republic, tourism,” said Polanco Lovera.
She emphasized that “Adompretur congratulates these great women not only for the work they do every day but also because they have managed to break with the stereotypes that women in all professional areas carry.”
Also, she noted that “with this well-deserved distinction, we value their successful careers and the fact that, due to their contributions, they are a great example to follow for present and future generations of Dominicans who will follow in their footsteps in tourism.”
