Arajet handles more than 80 thousand passengers in the first quarter of the year
Arajet consolidated its position as the Dominican airline that transports the most passengers to and from the country, and entered the select list of the 12 leading international airlines in passenger movement, according to the aviation report published by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), which reviews transportation figures in the Dominican Republic during January, February and March 2023.
Said report indicated that Arajet transported more than 80 thousand passengers in the first quarter of the year, positioning itself as the number 1 Dominican airline in said matter, followed by SkyHigh with more than 20 thousand passengers and Air Century with almost 12 thousand.
“We are now part of a select list of leading airlines in passenger transportation to and from the Dominican Republic, which reflects the preference and trust that Dominicans and foreigners have placed in Arajet, and the commitment and dedication of our team,” said Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO and founder of Arajet.
He added that, “we will continue to strengthen our offer and service, offering new routes to South America, the United States and Canada, which will allow us to close the year with more than 300 thousand passengers transported and thus enter the top 10 of the airlines that transport the most passengers in the Dominican Republic.”
“These months ahead are capital for the development of our operation, and we have the support of some of the most important experts in the aviation world backing our accelerated growth” he assured.
It is recalled that Arajet operates flights to 17 destinations in 11 countries in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean, and since its entry into the market on September 15, 2022, has transported almost 180 thousand passengers throughout its route network.
