The British government, through its embassy in Santo Domingo, informed the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES) that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of that nation will be responsible for the repatriation of affected tourists for the bankruptcy of tour operator Thomas Cook; and said he is analyzing the local impact of this fact.
The British Embassy in Santo Domingo informed ASONAHORES that the CAA is sending a letter to all the hotels where its citizens are staying to explain how to proceed to guarantee the exit of the country of citizens who are on vacation in the Dominicans.
The plan is for British tourists to complete their vacations and return as planned on flights that will be organized with the competent authorities, given the tourism organization.
