Banreservas attended World Travel Market to attract more tourism investments

Banco de Reservas participated in the World Travel Market 2023 tourism fair, where it established direct contact with the main representatives of hotel chains worldwide, in order to attract new investments for the country.

The annual activity brings together senior executives from hotel groups, providing an opportunity to expand their network of contacts with clients and close significant deals, where the bank has been a constant participant in this activity since 2015.

The official inauguration ceremony of the Dominican Republic stand was attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and prominent businessmen such as Luis Emilio Amiama, from Central Romana Corp. and the main executives of the Dominican banking sector.

This edition of the fair was held from November 6 to 8 at the Excel Exhibition Center, Docklands, with the attendance of hotel groups such as Karisma Hotels & Resorts, Blue Diamond Resorts, Bluebay, Palace Resorts, Faranda, Hyatt Inclusive Collection, ITM Group, Grupo Posadas, RCD Hotels, Lopesan, MGM Muthu and Park Royal Hotels & Resorts, part of the Royal Holiday Group.

It is recalled that in the field of tourism, the DR received some 131,124 visitors from England as of last October, reflecting its growing importance as a European tourist destination. The number of visitors in 2022 totaled 188,063 travelers. The country is positioned as one of the preferred tourist destinations in the Caribbean, both for the English and tourists from other European destinations.

The British consider the Dominican Republic an attractive destination in the Caribbean, highlighting its natural and cultural charms and renowned golf courses. In addition, the availability of direct flights from London to Punta Cana through airlines such as TUI and British Airways has contributed to the increase of tourists from England in recent years.
