Charms, splendor and wonders Roman destination were presented to Chilean tour operators
BAYAHIBE, La Romana. October 27, 2021.- The Tourism Promotion Office of the Dominican Republic in Chile, together with the La Romana-Bayahibe Tourism Cluster, held a Webinar to present the charms, splendor and wonders of the destination to more than 70 travel agents from Chile . In the discussion, the Romana destination was presented to the tour operators of the South American nation World Tour, Pan-American, Caribbean and Copa Airlines.
Representing the destination La Romana, exhibited Ana García-Sotoca; Angie Jiménez, for the Hilton La Romana hotel; Kirsis Méndez, for Casa de Campo and Jorge Chaljub, for the Iberostar Hotels & Resorts chain. From Chile, Gabriela Mc-Neil and Paloma Acosta acted as hosts.
García-Sotoca, highlighted La Romana as the best connected destination in the country. In addition – he added – the destination has a hotel area with the best comfort in the Caribbean, and more than 10 kilometers of beaches with crystal clear waters with the Blue Flag certification, among them Dominicus beach, Bayahibe beach, Catalina Island beach and Saona Island.
During the discussion, tourist places such as Jarabacoa, by Alba Yris Rodríguez; Constanza, by Vienchy Rodríguez; San Jose de Ocoa, by Alby Crespo, and Azua by Wendy Infante.
The Tourism Cluster emerged in 2001 as an initiative of the Hotel Association of La Romana Bayahibe (AHRB) that tried to involve other members of the sector’s value chain. The AHRB encouraged other actors to form a true Cluster capable of acting based on the vision of DESTINY shared by the hotels at that time.
The objective of the CTRB is to promote the destination and integration of the actors of the Tourism Sector and their communities through orientation, direction and accompaniment, with the purpose of increasing competitiveness, the quality of life of its inhabitants, the preservation of the local culture, environmentally friendly actions and economic progress to achieve the integral development of the destination.
