The president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, was present this Thursday, July 21, at the act that began the construction works of the tourist port ‘Samaná Bayport’, which is expected to last for the next 18 months. This infrastructure will considerably expand the town’s capacity to receive cruise ships, since it is expected to receive half a million cruise passengers a year.

This project developed jointly between the Dominican Government and the private sector “will promote the economic development and tourist activity of Samaná” as highlighted by the Dominican president on his Twitter profile.
