Construction of the Holiday Inn Santo Domingo Airport will begin in 2023
Aeropuertos Dominicanos XXI (Aerodom) reported that it will be in the middle of next year 2023 when construction work will begin on the Holiday Inn Santo Domingo Airport hotel that will be built on the perimeter of the Las Américas International Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez (AILA).
In this sense, Luis López, director of communications for Aerodom, indicated that the important work, with 150 rooms, is in the process of obtaining permits for soil studies and other authorization.
“It is expected that the construction of the work will take about two years, and that by the end of 2025 it will be completely finished,” he said.
He stressed that the hotel will accommodate passengers in transit and crews, “to encourage more local and international airlines to establish their operations centers in the Dominican Republic.”
He indicated that the rooms will be arranged on five levels with 9,000 square meters of construction, will have an investment of more than 22 million dollars and will be located on the airport grounds.
«The rooms will have two views: towards the air terminal and the Caribbean Sea. It will have a bar and restaurants, terraces, a coworking space, a gym, a swimming pool, a business center, flexible meeting rooms, as well as parking,” he explained according to Listín Diario.
It is recalled that the lodging property will be built by TVP Management RD and Constructora Sofisa, S.A, under the design of Taller de Arquitectra Orbitarq, and the law firm Estrella & Tupete.
