Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo returns with a million-dollar renovation
Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo announces its opening following a comprehensive renovation of the property, including all public areas and new rooms that feature flexible spaces to work, relax and socialize informally.
With an investment of approximately $5 million dollars by the developer SH Group, dedicated to the development and construction of large complexes, the hotel is preparing to exceed the expectations of its guests and visitors with this remodeling. These improvements reinforce the developer’s alliance with Marriott International, which together have launched and operated various properties in the region in countries such as Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
This ambitious investment, within the context of recovery efforts in the tourism sector, is a sign of confidence on the part of investors in the development of the national tourism industry. Marriott International, together with the owners’ association, seeks to encourage and contribute to tourist activation in the Dominican Republic, offering a new product, completely renovated and following all the measures and protocols established by the Marriott International Commitment to Cleanliness, as well as from local authorities.

The renovation began at the end of 2020 with the improvement of all spaces: rooms, corridors, exteriors, facade, pool area, restaurants, gym, interior terrace and event rooms. Through its design, it seeks to attract those business travelers who are looking for a space that allows them to meet their professional challenges, while enjoying experiences outside of their working day.
With a simple design that combines natural materials and colors that evoke the roots of the destination, guests are invited to discover the wonders of the “mother of all lands” on each voyage. Spacious rooms feature sophisticated furnishings that accommodate travelers’ work needs, whether they use the desk or choose to work from the sofa. While in the lobby, it is offered with multi-purpose furniture that can be used to have breakfast with colleagues, hold short meetings during the day, use it as a work space or even have a cocktail in the afternoon.
As for food and beverage options, the Kitchen and Bar restaurant offers an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While the Courtyard Crate functions as an interior convenience store with a higher concept, and with grab & go options.
