D.R. Tourism Office in Chicago holds virtual seminar to promote the country in the US Midwest
The Tourism Promotion Office (OPT) of the Dominican Republic in Chicago, together with representatives of the hotel chains, held a virtual seminar to promote and educate travel agents and wholesalers from the US Midwest.
More than 50 travel agents and 4 representatives of hotel chains from different parts of the country participated in the webinar called the “Dominican Republic Midwest Seminar”. Hodelpa, Impressive Resorts & Spa, Punta Cana Resort & Club and Ocean by 10.
The main objective was to educate travel agents about health protocols, medical insurance and free antigen testing for tourists traveling to the United States and to educate about the new “E-ticket” form for entry and departure for travelers.
The event, considered by the participants as very productive, was coordinated by Rocío Díaz and Mary Rodríguez Cruel, representatives of the promotion office in that area.
“This is an initiative, carried out for the first time in our OPT, it is part of the promotion strategy that we have had to adopt due to the new normal to continue with the promotion work of our country,” said Díaz.
