Dominican Republic signs agreements with tour operators, agencies and Florida cruises
The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, signed this Tuesday collaboration and intention agreements with representatives of tour operators, air transport agencies and cruise ships based in the state of Florida to strengthen relations between the Dominican Republic and said companies, in order to to attract more tourists to the country.
During meetings held in downtown Miami, the official signed 8 agreements to finalize the closure of vacation package promotions, marketing campaigns, among other actions that will continue to promote the entry of North American tourists to the Dominican Republic.
“Florida is a highly important market for our country, and the agencies that operate here are vital to continue improving the flow of tourists from the United States to our country,” said Collado.
Minister Collado informed that they will work together with the cruise industry so that there are more and more vessels of this type making touches in the Dominican Republic.
He explained to the different agencies that the Dominican Republic is the only destination in the region where 100% of the employees in the tourism sector are fully vaccinated with two doses, and that it has the lowest incidence rate of infections in tourist poles by what the country is a safe travel destination.
Collado met with representatives from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Florida and Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), Gool Travel, PunCana, Best Deal Vacations, Top Vacations, HotelBeds, Risa Travel, among others.
Minister Collado is running out of a three-day work schedule in New York City where he also met with Dominican authorities in the city and will host a large reception for New York State travel agents and tour operators.
