Game Developer RisingWings Issues First NFT for COMPETZ
The first minting of 1,000 PFP NFTs will be available for purchase through the BORA PORTAL on May 10
SEOUL, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#5minlab–RisingWings, a subsidiary of KRAFTON, Inc. (KRX: 259960), today announced its first Profile Picture (PFP) NFT minting will be issued through its global blockchain-based esports service, COMPETZ.
PFP NFTs will be able to be used as profile images for COMPETZ and 1,000 PFPs will be issued in the first minting. Users who have made an advanced deposit from May 9 at 7 p.m. to May 10 at 7 p.m. KST (UTC+9) may participate in the minting. The PFPs will be available for purchase on the blockchain platform BORA PORTAL for one hour starting on May 10 at 8 p.m. KST (UTC+9).
Users who purchase COMPETZ PFP NFTs will receive additional benefits. Please see below for a breakdown of benefits that users can expect for purchasing a PFP:
COMPETZ Benefits – Users who purchase PFPs will be given the chance to receive a portion of the revenue from entry fees of games that will be playable on COMPETZ later this year. There will be five different levels of PFP rarity, Legendary, Epic, Rare, Uncommon and Common, and users will receive greater rewards the rarer the PFP is. If users own two or more PFPs, the applied benefits will stack.
Whitelist – Users who purchase a PFP will be added to a whitelist for additional minting opportunities in the future. These whitelists will allow users the right to participate first in future NFT mintings or purchase them at a cheaper price.
Airdrop Event – The Airdrop Event will be available for PFP purchasers and will award one person 1,000 BORA Tokens (tBORA) and 300 tBORA will be awarded to users who have purchased three or more PFPs.
“To drive excitement for the upcoming games to be serviced in COMPETZ, we have scheduled the first official PFP minting for users to enjoy,” said RisingWings Vice President Moon-chul Kang. “In addition to the first PFP minting, we are also planning to issue a game skin NFT, so please stay tuned for more information about the various events we have scheduled for the future.”
