Hodelpa hosts a conference for women entrepreneurs in tourism.
The hotel chain Hodelpa, which has ten properties in Juan Dolio, Santo Domingo, Santiago, and Puerto Plata, hosted the 40th Annual Congress of the International Federation of Businesswomen and Executives in Tourism (FIASEET), held for the first time in the Dominican Republic.
The event opened at the emblematic Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando, where participants were received at a welcome cocktail. Among the attendees were members of the Hodelpa corporate team, Dominican government officials and diplomatic representatives.
During the reception, companies in the tourism sector were entertained in an environment that celebrated collaboration and female empowerment in the industry.
Jakaira Cid, president of the Association of Businesswomen and Tourism Executives (AFEET) in the Dominican Republic, opened the event by highlighting that the congress is a key platform to promote innovation and leadership in tourism, underlining the importance of strengthening the role of women in the sector at a global level. } On her side, Rosanna Fustagño, president of FIASEET, highlighted the fundamental pillars of the federation: training, female empowerment, sustainable tourism, and the fight against the sexual exploitation of minors in tourism.
Representing the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), Vice Minister Roberto Henríquez, on behalf of Minister David Collado, praised the contributions of women in the tourism industry, highlighting their perseverance and leadership in the growth of the sector.
Meyci Díaz, commercial director of Hodelpa, closed the evening by expressing her gratitude to FIASEET for trusting the hotel chain, which with its wide range of beach and urban hotels reflects the hospitality and quality of Dominican tourism.
