PUNTA CANA – The vice-president of Grupo Piñero, Encarna Piñero, presented this Thursday the reopening of the Cayo Levantado Resort hotel, located in Samaná, which is scheduled to open on June 1st.
Piñero emphasized that the reopening of the hotel has an investment of US$40 million. The resort will contribute to the economic development of the area and will generate more than 700 direct quality jobs.
Participating in a press conference on the occasion of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE 2023), Piñero highlighted the strategic importance of Cayo Levantado Resort to enhance the value of one of the most important emblems of the Dominican Republic, the Samaná peninsula, as well as its contribution to the economic development and the business fabric of the region and its communities.
“Our most important commitment to innovation and sustainability revolves around the luxury of regenerating on vacation through exclusive experiences designed for wellness, care and meditation; second, the luxury of regenerating our environment, where our presence must mean an improvement in biodiversity, and that besides being a luxury is a commitment and a responsibility; and third, with the luxury of promoting local culture by fostering talent and contributing to economic development,” said Piñero.
