Hyatt Is Opening a New All-Inclusive Resort in Tulum Next Month
The Mexican Caribbean is in the midst of a tourism boom, from the crowded beaches of Cancun to the bohemian hotspot of Tulum. Now, the area is set to welcome another new resort, with a new all-inclusive from fast-expanding Hyatt.
Hyatt is set to debut its newest Secrets resort in the Caribbean next month, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
The new Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club has announced an Oct. 12, 2023 opening date.
The strikingly-designed new resort will include 300 suites and one luxury villa in the heart of the mangroves of Tulum on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
Hyatt says it’s a “boho-elegant” design, with : earthy décor, extravagant cenote-inspired architecture, dedicated meditation areas and secluded pools surrounded by lush vegetation.”
While the property isn’t on the beach, it will have its own private beach club on the Caribbean Sea.
There will be 15 dining concepts in all, from the Barracuda Beach Bar to a pool bar called Edgewater to a rooftop swim-up bar and a grilled seafood shack called Willy’s Place.
That’s along with a signature Secrets Spa by Pevonia, with hydrotherapy, locally-inspired treatments, a sauna, a steam room and a pair of individual cabins joined by one couple’s cabin.
There is also a Preferred Club, which will include its own private club lounge and bar, daily breakfast service and personalized check-in and check-out service, among other touches.
Some of the Preferred Club rooms come with their own private plunge pools.
The resort will be part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
The new property is the second major Hyatt to debut in the Mexican Caribbean this year, following the recent launch of the Impression Isla Mujeres by Secrets resort.
