Lopesan Costa Bávaro reaffirms its environmental commitment
Actors involved in the tourism sector in the eastern area participated in the signing of the Coastal Conservation Agreement in the Playa Bávaro-Punta Cana segment operated by Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resorts & Spa, under the International Blue Flag program.
The activity was attended by the 11 institutions of the prestigious National Jury, the Eastern Hotel Association (Asoleste), the media, among other personalities.
The words of welcome were given by Carlos Jiménez Ruiz, director of the Lopesan Hotels Group Caribbean Region, who indicated that Lopesan sees in the Blue Flag the environmental complement that reflects the commitment of this facility to the conservation of coastal ecosystems.
Jiménez highlighted the work that Lopesan has carried out for 15 years in Playa Bávaro, in conjunction with Asoleste, the Aquatics Association, the Mi Milagro Isanely Foundation, among other entities such as the Navy, the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) and Mimarena, articulating efforts and programs for the conservation of natural resources in the area.
On his side, Cesar Vargas, president of the Institute of Environmental Law of the Dominican Republic (IDARD), spoke about the Blue Flag as a tool for Coastal Conservation, highlighting those who are committed to the sustainable development of the country, according to Sociales.press
In the same order, Ernesto Veloz, president of Asoleste, highlighted the environmental commitment of hotel chains and his institution, the closing words were in charge of Johanny Ventura, manager of Quality Management Lopesan Costa Bávaro, mentioning his commitment as a facility in the compliance with the environmental standards required by the program.
