Mayor Santo Ramírez takes reins of the tourist development of the municipality of Bani.
The mayor of Bani, Santo Ramírez invited a committee of the Baní Productive Tourism Cluster to a working meeting in the Salt Pools of Salinas de Puerto Hermoso, to listen to the development proposals that within the strategic development plan, the cluster for the Salinas area, such as the salt museum, the visitors’ booth and the territorial planning of the Salinas public beach.
After listening to the plans, the mayor decided to make an inter-institutional collaboration agreement between the Bani Tourist and Productive Cluster and the Municipality’s mayor’s office, to begin the organization work and begin the construction of the visitors’ booth of the pools of Sal de Salinas de Puerto Hermoso, a project that the cluster has already prepared.
Mayor Santo Ramírez stated that the construction of the visitor’s booth will be the first step, and then continue with the remodeling, organization and enhancement of the entire Salinas beach and El Derrumbao beach and stated that he decided to take the reins of the tourist development of the municipality of Baní, as corresponds to a city council, when a province becomes an emerging destination, as is the case of the Peravia province, which is part of the country’s tourist pole number 8. These actions will be taken by the mayor in the hands of the Baní Tourism and Productive Cluster, an entity that for 6 years has been promoting tourism development in the area.
Arch. Juan Tejeda, president of the Baní Productive Tourism Cluster, said that he appreciates the mayor’s support and that he hopes that the honorable councilors of the chapter house will join the initiative, to make the development projects that in specific points and with tourist potential, it has the cluster. He also expressed that this April 14th will go down in history as the day of the great tourist boost that the municipality of Bani and the entire Peravia province needed.
“The municipalities and mayors are fundamental for the tourism development of any destination, so the Baní Productive Tourism Cluster thanks Mayor Santo Ramírez for the trust placed in the cluster, together with the City Council and the tourism cluster we will bring out the municipality of Baní and all Peravia province forward ”. Present at the meeting were the Vice Mayor Mercedes Adriana Rodríguez, the Provincial Director of Tourism Joel Blandino and the person in charge of municipal works of the Baní City Council, Alexander Díaz. After the meeting, the group enjoyed a dinner at the new Bella Costa salinas restaurant, owned by the tourist businessman Banilejo Jorge Domenech.
