SANTO DOMINGO, D.R. September 28, 2023 – As part of the commemoration of International Tourism Day, the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) and the Association of Hotels and Tourism (ASONAHORES), recognized Meliá Hotels International for its trajectory as a major investor, innovations and development of new products.

Francisco Camps, Area Managing Director Dominican Republic at Meliá Hotels International, thanked Minister David Collado and the president of ASONAHORES, David Llibre, for recognizing the group’s constant investment in improving the guest experience in all areas of the Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa complex and the innovation of the first state-of-the-art theme park Katmandu Park Punta Cana.

Mr. Camps expressed his satisfaction to work in the Dominican Republic, a leading country in the recovery of tourism worldwide that has stood out as an internationally renowned tourist destination, generating significant foreign exchange, income and employment.
