Minister Collado indicates that the Dominican Republic will continue to strengthen air connectivity with the US
Tourism Minister David Collado reported that the government and the institutions involved in the air sector will continue to strengthen air connectivity with the United States.
«We are going to continue promoting the issue of connectivity with the United States and we strongly support the declarations of the American Embassy of open skies,» he indicated.
He stated that connectivity is the country’s main challenge and that the vision of the Government and the Tourism Cabinet is to support the open skies agreement with the United States of America.
The statements were offered by Collado, within the framework of the 34th edition of the Asonahores 2022 Commercial Exhibition, where more than 176 companies from the entire commercial chain participate, which takes place from October 19 to 21, at Blue Mall Punta Cane.
It is recalled that President Luis Abinader said that the negotiations to sign the open skies agreement are advanced, and the process could be completed in a few days. He announced the submission to the National Congress of the long-awaited promotion bill for the local aeronautical sector, but this has not yet come about.
