Minister Collado seals agreements to promote the arrival of Canadian tourists
The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, signed agreements with the main tour operators in Canada as part of the strategy of the portfolio and the Tourism Cabinet.
The agreements were signed with Air Canada Vacations, WestJet Vacations and Sunwing Travel Group, responsible for sending more than one million Canadian tourists a year to the Republic.
“After two years of closing the tourist market, we are in Canada to recover the second most important country for the Dominican tourism economy. We continue to knock on the doors of the world to promote our magical corners », he indicated.
Collado also held a meeting in Toronto with the presence of more than 200 travel agencies and tour operators to strengthen the country’s image and promote its destinations.
Last year the minister also had similar meetings in the United States and Spain. “We are ready to receive them and that they can enjoy a magical and safe destination,” said Collado during the activity.
The Dominican Republic continues to be the number one country in the world in the recovery of tourism, which is why, in the coming days, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will award President Luis Abinader and Collado recognition for their outstanding achievement.
