Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Rep. says that investor confidence has grown
Francisco Javier García, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, informed that investor confidence in the country has significantly increased the number of projects in the hotel offer.
He showed that this confidence of investors in the country shows that in the Tourism Promotion Council (CONFOTUR) the number and number of meetings have increased due to the high demand and project proposals for the construction of new rooms, remodeling and complementary offers.
“The one who wants to understand how far the trust that investors have in the Dominican Republic has come just has to see how the construction of tourism projects has increased,” said Garcia.

He stressed that part of this confidence of domestic and foreign investors is due to the level of security the country has. “For us the most important thing is the safety of the tourist who visits us,” he said.
He stressed that you only have to take the newspapers to realize why the country receives so many awards in what it has to do with tourist safety.
“We are the only country, apart from receiving all the recognition as a result of the security model and projects that are applied, a presidential decree has been established to strengthen tourism security, where the Ministry of Tourism and other institutions reinforce the work for each day tourists are more protected in the Dominican Republic, ”he said.
He stated that some tourism experts have wondered how it is possible that after the discredit campaign suffered by the country, tourism has only declined 0.4%, and that all international media that talked about situations that supposedly existed In the Dominican Republic, they had to deny themselves and say what the truth is.
