Mitur focuses on capturing a greater flow of water sports tourists
The Dominican Republic, through the Office of Tourism Promotion (OPT) in Orlando, Florida, resumes its participation in Surf Expo, the leading trade show in the United States for water sports and beach lifestyle.
It is being held from January 4-6, 2023, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, and is being attended by retail and professional exhibitors related to the industry.
The Dominican delegation is represented by the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) with its “Surf and Wind City Cabarete” project, and the Word Surf League, Masters Surf Meeting, Master of the Ocean and Caribbean Surf Connection events, all scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.
With its participation in Surf Expo, the Mitur seeks to attract the largest volume of water sports enthusiasts, professional competitors and investors who come to the fair.
Cabarete, located in the province of Puerto Plata, is the capital of the Caribbean for “Waves and Wind” sports, with optimal conditions for the practice of surfing, kite surfing and wind surfing, in addition to a relaxed, healthy and sporty lifestyle.
