Paradisus Palma Real announces the first edition of “The Epicure by Paradisus”.

SANTO DOMINGO – With the aim of enhancing Dominican gastronomy, Paradisus Palma Real will celebrate the first edition of the gastronomic platform “The Epicure by Paradisus” from November 3 to 6, with special guests chefs Germán Ortega, Michelin Star, Roberto Capone, who has five Italian cuisine stars, and Leandro Díaz, renowned Dominican chef and director of Casa Gastronómica Dominicana, a gastro-cultural space that pays tribute to Dominican cuisine.
The information was given during a cocktail party held at Cava Alta by Francisco Camps, Managing Director of Meliá Hotels International, who pointed out that on Saturday, November 4 at 8:00 pm, a nine-course dinner with the renowned chefs will be held at the specialty restaurant “MINA” of the Paradisus Palma Real hotel.
He also emphasized that it is an honor for Paradisus Palma Real to have as special guests chefs Roberto Capone, Germán Ortega and Leandro Díaz, who will grace the First Edition of The Epicure. “It will be an exceptional culinary event that aims to highlight the richness of Dominican gastronomy”.
According to the Managing Director of Meliá Hotels in the Dominican Republic, the evening promises to be a delight for the senses, fusing the culinary art of the distinguished Chef German Ortega, awarded with a Michelin Star, with Chef Roberto Capone, Five Stars of Italian Cuisine and the Dominican Chef Leandro Díaz, recognized for extolling our culinary essences and traditions.
During The Epicure by Paradisus celebration, two Masterclasses will also be offered, one on Friday, November 3 at 4:00 pm with Chef Germán Ortega and another on Sunday, November 5 at 12 noon by Chef Roberto Capone.
Chef Germán Ortega is a native of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, trained in Sweden, England and in several cities of the Spanish geography, Germán Ortega has worked in the kitchens of renowned chefs such as Ferrán Adriá, Laurent Tassel or Andrew Hamer.
Chef Roberto Capone is an enthusiast of Spanish gastronomy, the Italian Roberto Capone has run for more than three decades the restaurants “La Antigua Tahona” and “La Posada del Campanario”, reference restaurants in the Sierra Norte de Madrid, where he used the seasonal products offered by the natural environment to prepare succulent seasonal dishes.
While Chef Leandro Díaz, is an outstanding Dominican chef, widely recognized, selected as a judge of MasterChef Dominican Republic, becoming the most popular chef, followed and appreciated by the Dominicans.
