Puntacana Group, “Company of Excellence” in occupational safety and health
Grupo Puntacana was recognized by the Ministry of Labor for the second consecutive year as a “company of excellence in Good Practices in Occupational Safety and Health”, for investing in the health and well-being of its employees, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
During the same ceremony, his company Punta Cana Beach and Golf, S.A.S., received the certificate accrediting its compliance with the country’s occupational health and safety regulation 522-06.
It is worth mentioning that the business group recently celebrated “Health Week”, with the objective of promoting physical and emotional health, guaranteeing good health in the workplace and the social wellbeing of its collaborators.
Karina Guaba, vice-president of Human Management of the Group, said about the recognition, “this demonstrates our commitment to the well-being of our employees and excellence in providing safe and healthy work environments for our employees. It makes us a national benchmark in the application of good occupational health and safety practices”.
In order to obtain recognition, in accordance with the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Program, according to regulation 522-06, companies must have mixed occupational health and safety committees, based on the axes of good working environment, inclusion, effective equity and positive initiatives.

Together with them, we continue to transform dreams into sustainable realities,” added Guaba, on the celebration of Health and Wellness at Work Week.
Some of the initiatives implemented as part of its safety culture include preventive medical evaluations of employees, mindfulness initiatives, and investigating incidents and accidents with drills and rehearsals.
