Qatari businesswomen show interest in investing in Pedernales tourism
The vice president, Raquel Peña, revealed that last month she held meetings with businesswomen from Qatar, who are interested in investing in various sectors of the Dominican economy, including tourism.
“The businesswomen were very interested in tourism projects, mainly in the Pedernales tourism development project, which is being carried out by President Luis Abinader,” she added.
She also said that they are interested in investing in free zones, the real estate sector and exporting other items from the Dominican Republic.
“In the country, what we are selling is a reality, social peace, trust in the central government and officials who are committed and trained to develop that investment sector,” Peña said, speaking of the president’s interest in maintaining a climate of trust throughout the country. entrepreneurs and that there is zero bureaucracy in the country.
The coordinator of the Investment Cabinet indicated that she also held meetings with Dominican business leaders and associations to conduct surveys on the status of permits so that the processes of some projects are streamlined.
She explained that one of the pillars of the administration of President Luis Abinader is to open the country to the coordination of foreign investment. “Our mission is to coordinate with each ministry the contribution to increase that desire for the Dominican Republic,” Peña said.
