Search for Tourism Cluster to consolidate destination Puerto Plata FITUR 2020

Puerto Plata RD, – In order to strengthen the tourist offer of Puerto Plata in the European market, the Tourist Cluster of this destination, will go once again to the fortieth version of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) to be held from the 22 to January 26, at the IFEMA in Madrid, Spain.

César José de los Santos, president of the Cluster for the Association of Hotels of Playa Dorada, appreciated the participation of the destination in this fair, the magnitude of this event of the competition where the most important actors in world tourism are exhibited and gathered.

“We are very excited because Puerto Plata has a presence again at this fair among more than 10,000 exhibitors from 170 countries and 120,000 visitors. Definitely, this is the global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading fair for the receiving markets and Latin American issuers, “said the tourism entrepreneur.

For his part, Juana Lahoz de Beard, director of the Cluster stressed that, “Adjust our great opportunities to align strategies with professionals from other tourism institutions and collaborations with the private sector with the objective of consolidating the destination internationally.”

Lahoz said that Fitur has become an unavoidable event to expose our full potential, which is very much, and at the same time, know and anticipate the new trends of the tourism industry. For this, an agenda of meetings with tour operators, agencies, media, tourism institutions and specialized companies has been confirmed.

He said that between the events activities will participate in the 10th Exceltur Tourism Leadership Forum and also reported that Lifestyle Holidays Hotels and Resorts, a member of the Cluster’s board of directors, will attend for the first time with an independent stand and in that sense will also exhaust a series of activities, among which a press conference in which a turn has been assigned to expose the generalities of Puerto Plata as a tourist destination.
