The World Tourism Organization appoints Grupo Puntacana president as Sustainable Tourism Ambassador

Punta Cana, La Altagracia, D.R.- The president and CEO of Grupo Puntacana, Frank Rafael Rainieri Marranzini, was appointed Ambassador for Sustainable Tourism by Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

During his visit to Punta Cana, Pololikashvili stressed that: “Rainieri’s opinions and experiences will serve to rethink tourism, grow better, recover soon and generate opportunities for everyone.”

The renowned Dominican businessman expressed that “this recognition represents a great honor not only on a personal level, but also for the Grupo Puntacana family and the Dominican Republic.

“Since our inception, we have worked with the dream and vision of growing sustainably, while offering our visitors unique experiences. This distinction affirms the impact and legacy of the environmental initiatives that we have developed from our Grupo Puntacana Foundation, and adds even more responsibility and commitment to continue developing with excellence the work that we have carried out so far, ”Rainieri highlighted.

Likewise, the president of Grupo Puntacana added that “the businessman of the 21st century must work with the vision of growing sustainably and understanding that we have an environmental and social corporate responsibility. Grupo Puntacana has been a daring company, but always bearing in mind that growing is not success, but growing in a sustainable way in every sense of the word, financially, socially and environmentally ”.
