MITUR will be present at the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2021)

The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) confirmed its participation in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2021, which will be held in Madrid, Spain, from May 19 to 23.

David Collado, Minister of Tourism, assured that “upon receiving a statement from FITUR and the response of the ambassador of Spain to the country, ensuring that it was carried out in a smaller size and authorizing a small in-person delegation by the protocols, confirms his presence as Minister and the representation of the DR, “he said in a post from his Twitter network.

With this statement, once again the country will attend this fair with a delegation headed by its minister, to take advantage of all that this global meeting point for tourism professionals offers for the incoming and outgoing markets of Latin America.

In the previous edition, FITUR broke the participation record with 11,040 companies from 165 countries / regions, 150,089 professionals and 111,089 visitors from the general public.

To date, 70% of the exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance at the next edition of FITUR 2021, according to statements by the general director of the Madrid Fair Institute (Ifema), Eduardo López Puertas. And referring to the presence of the general public during the last two days, he explained that it will depend on how the epidemiological situation evolves, “in any case, the capacity will be limited.”
