Expoturismo, the largest fair in the North region will be held from June 3 to 5

The directors of Expoturismo, the largest tourism fair and travel offers in the northern region of the country, announced that everything is ready to celebrate their silver anniversary in a big way, from June 3 to 5, at the Hodelpa Gran Almirante Convention Center .

This was announced by Ramón Paulino and Yomaris Gómez, president and executive director, respectively of Expoturismo, during the press conference called to offer details of the realization of this twenty-fifth edition of the fair.

Paulino reported that the celebration of the 25th anniversary will be dedicated to the excellent management carried out by the tourism authorities of the Dominican Republic, in the person of Minister David Collado, who has earned the recognition of countless international institutions for the successful tourism recovery plan. implemented to face the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, achieving a historic recovery in that sector and repositioning the country as a leader in tourist arrivals in the Caribbean.

He thanked the support that throughout this time they have received from the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), Hodelpa Hotel Gran Almirante, the City Council of the Municipality of Santiago, Casa Brugal and the Cibao International Airport to carry out the mission of strengthening and promoting the national tourism from Santiago and the Cibao region, as a destination and sustainable tourism market in the DR.

On his side, Yomaris Gómez reported that the main hotel chains, tour operators, airlines, cruise lines, associations, clusters, artisans, emerging destinations and companies that recognize in this fair the scenario par excellence to promote their products have been confirmed for the event. tourism products and services.

Gómez also presented the tight program that will be developed during the fair and that includes a set of activities such as the presentation of the new projects of the Holdelpa Hotels & Resorts chain, the wholesale tour operators Expet Travelers and Viajes AGT that will present their most recent international circuits through South America, Europe and North America, as well as its national packages.

The Cibao International Airport will present its expansion plans that will allow it to more than double the handling of passengers through the air terminal and, in the same way, the Office for the Development of Urban and Interurban Mobility Projects will present the complete route that the first monorail will cover of the country and the Caribbean, as well as the cable car being built in the city of Santiago.
