Orlando, Florida — June 2026.- The president of the Dominican International Business & Tourism Chamber, Inc., stated that the Dominican Republic Tourism Road Show, recently held at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando and led by the Dominican Republic’s Minister of Tourism, David Collado, achieved highly favorable results in strengthening tourist flow from Central Florida to the country’s main destinations.

Pedro J. Díaz Ballester noted that he was pleasantly impressed by the warm reception of the event and the strong connection attendees expressed with the Dominican Republic’s attractions and destinations. The gathering brought together an important group of tour operators, local travel agents, business organizations, and media outlets, all of whom expressed special appreciation for Minister Collado’s presence. They emphasized that he is the only Minister of Tourism who has visited the region on multiple occasions to meet with them directly, listen to their needs, and reinforce ties with the market.
Industry professionals also praised the work of Raquel Reyes, director of the Dominican Republic Tourism Promotion Office in Orlando, highlighting her dedication and consistent support in promoting the destination and fostering business opportunities with the local travel industry.
Díaz Ballester—who also serves as an Advisor to the ADOMPRETUR leadership in the state of Florida, and who served as Advisor for the Dominican Hispanic ethnic market based in Miami, as well as Advisor–director of International Relations at the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism, overseeing the departments of Public and International Relations, Ports, Protocol, and Press—stated:
“The Road Show in Orlando reaffirms the Ministry of Tourism’s commitment to this strategic and steadily growing market. The response from tour operators and travel agents was extraordinary, and their recognition of Minister Collado and director Reyes demonstrates the effectiveness of the work being carried out.”
The Chamber president emphasized that the Central Florida region—including Orlando, Kissimmee, Lakeland, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Tampa, and surrounding areas—is a key corridor because of its population growth, cultural diversity, and strong demand for Caribbean travel. He added that the results of the Road Show indicate a significant increase in tourist arrivals at destinations such as Punta Cana, Miches, Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Samaná, La Romana, and Pedernales.
The Dominican International Business & Tourism Chamber, which will celebrate its 34th anniversary since its founding in Miami this coming August, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote tourism, investment, and the Dominican Republic’s international positioning.
The event, which featured an engaging presentation by Arajet, delivered by the company’s CCO Manuel Luna Sued, concluded with a lively performance by artist Eddy Herrera and his orchestra, providing a memorable finale.
