Banreservas will support Pumarol international tournaments and RD golf

The Reserve Bank announced its support for Willy Pumarol for the next golf tournaments in which he will participate during this year and part of 2023, in which he will represent the brand of the financial institution.

Pumarol qualified again last weekend to compete in the PGA Corales Punta Cana Championship, by becoming champion of the 2021-2022 Canita Tour.

The prominent Dominican athlete signed an agreement together with the general administrative deputy administrator of Banreservas, José Manuel Almonte. During the ceremony, he expressed his satisfaction at receiving the support of the bank, when he -he affirmed- he is in the best moment of his career.

“I spend the whole year competing in more than 30 tournaments a year. It is an extensive calendar and without the support of the Banco de Reservas, the truth is that it would be very complicated (to complete it). I hope to be able to represent it in the best way and put the Banco de Reservas and the Dominican flag at the top”, he stressed.

Pumarol was optimistic that this will be a year full of success for him, in the many competitions in which he will participate.

Meanwhile, the administrative deputy administrator of Banreservas stressed that the financial institution feels committed to supporting Dominican talent in the different sports disciplines.

“More than pride, it is a pleasure for us and the entire Bank team to be part of your success,” said Almonte, speaking on behalf of the general manager, Samuel Pereyra.

He added that Dominican golf has not transcended internationally, so it is really significant to know that Pumarol represents the country on the international stage.

During the signing of the agreement made at the Torre Banreservas, Pumarol was accompanied by his father Willy Pumarol, who is also a renowned golf player.

In recent months Banreservas has signed several agreements with outstanding athletes, so that they are part of its brand representation, with which it also supports athletes who have stood out on the international stage, who at the same time are a role model for Dominican youth.
