Culinary Week with the First Casa de Campo Food and Wine Festival presented by Amex and Banreservas

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas celebrated its First Casa de Campo Food and Wine Festival presented by Amex and Banreservas, an exciting collaboration with Invited, a leading U.S. club owner.

La Romana – Guests and invited guests will enjoy all that this destination has to offer in the culinary and tourism fields. The response was overwhelming, and the public’s reception was exceptional.

«This is the first time this type of festival has been held, where attendees were immersed in local and international cuisine in a fresh and exciting way and it was a great success. We are pleased with the reception that the public gave to this event. In each of the presentations we felt the good vibes of the people,» commented Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas.

The event brought together an outstanding list of attendees related to the national and international gastronomic world, including celebrity chef Akira Back, who shared the stage with talented chefs from the Dominican culinary scene such as Erik Malmsten, Joaquin Renovales and Victor Langille. In addition, the outstanding participation of some of Invited’s most talented chefs and mixologists, along with Casa de Campo’s culinary team.

One of the highlights of the festival was the competition in which Invited chefs competed for the coveted title of the company’s Chef of the Year, a distinguished honor that Casa de Campo has helped highlight since 2021. This year’s winner was Eric Yeager.

Throughout the five-day event, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy food and wine pairings provided by some of the most prominent names in local and international gastronomy. In addition, they were able to take advantage of all the amenities Casa de Campo has to offer, including the luxurious new Premier Club facilities and state-of-the-art spa center.

Venues for the chefs’ tastings, dinners and competitions included Casa de Campo’s expansive Marina Riverside event center, the Minitas Beach Club and the Driving Range.

This food and wine festival marked a milestone in Casa de Campo’s culinary scene and promises to become a renowned annual event in the Dominican Republic. The next event is scheduled for the week of October 10-13, 2024. Casa de Campo Resort & Villas thanks everyone who contributed to the success of this extraordinary culinary week.
